Inspiring young professional, creative women to vibrantly excel in all dimensions of life.

I’ve been taking Kellee Wynne Studios’ #colormylife2018 course, and I watched her lesson on Turquoise.
We learned some layering techniques and talked about using pencil and paint and abstract shapes together.
I ended up not layering as much paint over the entire canvas paper that I used, but I did start with an uneven layer of gesso, followed by penciling in loose rose shapes.
I then loosely painted each rose a base color and blotted it with paper towel and then blotted the paper towel on a blank space on the paper.
After that, I took a different accent color and loosely painted in the rose shape over each original rose shape.
I then painted the stems by letting watered down green paint flow down the page by gravity.
In the end I added leaves to the stems and blotted more with paper towel.
I love how it turned out! I got the color inspiration from this pillow that I love.
This is one of my first, what I’m calling “semi-abstract” paintings! Kellee Wynne Studios’ videos really got my mind flowing and the ideas came! I’m loving the course!
